Zum 5. Mal schreiben die Literaturwerkstatt Berlin und interfilm

Berlin den Wettbewerb um die besten Poesiefilme aus!

Eingereicht werden können Kurzfilme, die auf der Basis

eines oder mehrerer Gedichte entstanden sind. Eine Programmkommission

entscheidet, welche der Filme im Rahmen des

ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival vom 14.–17. Oktober 2010

in Berlin im Kino Babylon im Wettbewerb laufen oder im

Programm gezeigt werden. Eine international besetzte Jury

ermittelt die Gewinner. Es werden die Preise „ZEBRA-Preis

für den besten Poesiefilm“, „Filmpoesie-Preis des Goethe-

Instituts“ und „Ritter-Sport-Preis, gestiftet von der Alfred Ritter

GmbH & Co KG“ im Wert von insgesamt € 10 000 vergeben.

Einsendeschluss ist der 14. Juni 2010 (vollständige

Das ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival hat sich als internationales

Forum für Kurzfilme etabliert, die sich inhaltlich, ästhetisch

oder formal mit Gedichten auseinandersetzen. Es bietet

Filmemachern und Dichtern aus aller Welt Gelegenheit zum

Ideenaustausch und zur Standortbestimmung.

Das ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival ist ein Projekt der Literaturwerkstatt Berlin in Kooperation

mit interfilm Berlin sowie mit der freundlichen Unterstützung durch den Hauptstadtkulturfonds,

das Goethe-Institut, die Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG und die Deutsche

Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH. Es findet statt im Rahmen

des poesiefestival berlin.

Berlin are inviting entries for this competition to choose the

best poetry films!

Entries should be short films based on one or more poems.

A programme commission will decide which of the films

entered will be featured in the competition or shown in the

programme as part of the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival from

14 –17 October 2010 in BErlin in the Babylon Cinema. An

international jury will decide the winners. The prizes awarded

will be the ZEBRA Award for the Best Poetry Film, the

Film Poetry Award of the Goethe Institute and the Ritter

Sport Award, donated by Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG,

to a total value of € 10,000.

The deadline for entries is 14 June 2010 (full conditions of

entry can be found at www.literaturwerkstatt.org).

The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival has established itself as an

international forum for short films that deal with the content,

aesthetics or form of poems. It offers filmmakers and poets from

around the world the opportunity to exchange ideas and define

positions.

The ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival is a cooperation project between the Literaturwerkstatt

Berlin and interfilm Berlin and is kindly supported by the Capital Cultural Fund, the

Goethe Institute, Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co KG and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische

Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH. It takes place as part of the poesiefestival berlin.

einer Länge von 15 Minuten, die nach dem 1. Januar 2007 fertiggestellt

worden sind. Die Auswahlkommission behält sich in Ausnahmefällen

vor, längere Filme zuzulassen. Alle eingereichten

Filmbeiträge müssen audiovisuelle Umsetzungen eines oder mehrerer

Gedichte sein. Als Vorführformate sind zugelassen: 35mm,

Beta SP und DVD in bestmöglicher Auflösung. Die Filme auf den

Vorführkopien müssen englische Untertitel haben.

Alle Texte müssen in digitaler Form vorliegen. Der Versand

der Anmeldeunterlagen geschieht auf Kosten des Einreichers. Sendungen

aus dem Ausland müssen den Hinweis „Vorübergehende

Verwendung. Nur für kulturelle Zwecke. Sendung hat keinen Handelswert.“

falsch deklarierten Sendungen wird die Annahme verweigert. Sichtungskopien

verbleiben im Archiv der Literaturwerkstatt Berlin und

werden nur auf ausdrücklichen Wunsch und auf Kosten des Einreichers

zurückgesandt. Die Anmeldung der Filmbeiträge erfolgt

automatisch für alle Programmbereiche.

der Grundlage der Sichtungskopien über die Auswahl der Filmbeiträge

für den Wettbewerb sowie alle weiteren Programmbereiche.

Ab Anfang September 2010 kann eine Liste der ausgewählten Filme

auf www.literaturwerkstatt.org eingesehen werden. Vor diesem

Zeitpunkt werden keine Anfragen zur Auswahl beantwortet. Ab

Mitte September 2010 werden alle Teilnehmer per E-Mail über die

Resultate der Ausschreibung informiert.

Filmbeiträge müssen spätestens bis zum 30. September

2010 in der Literaturwerkstatt Berlin eintreffen. Die Kosten für die

Sendung nach Berlin tragen die Einsender. Für die Einsendung der

Vorführkopien gelten die Versandanweisungen wie unter Punkt 2

beschrieben. Kosten, die wegen falscher Deklaration oder durch

unfreien Versand entstehen, werden dem Absender in Rechnung gestellt.

Die Kosten für den Rückversand trägt die Literaturwerkstatt

Berlin.

Gefahr des Einsenders. Die Vorführkopien sind während der Veranstaltung

mit ihrem Kopierwert versichert. Etwaige Schadensersatzansprüche

sind spätestens zehn Tage nach Rücksendung geltend zu machen.

Gerichtsstand ist Berlin.

the right in exceptional cases to admit longer films. All films submitted

must be audio-visual interpretations of one of more poems. Permissible

formats for showing are: 35mm, Beta SP and DVD in the highestpossible

resolution. Films for screening must have English subtitles.

The entry must include the following materials: a completed

entry form (see below), a preview video in DVD or VHS format, a

digital still photo, a literary translation of the poem(s) in German or

English, a synopsis, a biography of the poet and a biography and

filmography of the director. All texts must be provided in digital

form. Submission of entry materials is at the expense of the sender.

Submissions from abroad must bear the notice: ‚Temporary use.

Only for cultural purposes. Content has no commercial value‘. This

applies both to the entry materials and the screening copies (cf. No. 4).

The statement of value of the attached proforma invoice (Download

‚Proforma Invoice‘ see below) may not exceed € 19. Submissions

which are unstamped or wrongly declared will not be accepted.

Preview copies will remain in the archive of the Literaturwerkstatt

Berlin and will be returned only at the express wish and expense of

the sender. Film submissions will automatically be entered for all

parts of the programme.

Commission will decide on the selection of the films for the

competition and all other parts of the programme. A list of the films

that have been selected will be posted at www.literaturwerkstatt.

org from the beginning of September 2010. No enquiries regarding

selection will be answered before this time. From mid-September

2010 on. all participants will be informed by e-mail of the results of

the selection.

costs of dispatching the submission to Berlin. The instructions for

dispatch under No. 2 also apply to the submission of the screening

copies. Costs arising from wrongly declared or wrongly stamped

dispatch will be billed to the sender. The cost of return will be borne

by the Literaturwerkstatt Berlin.
